Stainless steel 201-2B

Type 201 stainless steel is an alloy that contains half the nickel and increased manganese and nitrogen of more popular steels. Type 201 is part of the 200 series of austenitic stainless steels produced at lower costs with low-nickel content.

-Crom: 16%->18%
-Mangan: 5.5%->7.5%
-Nikel: 3.5%->5.5%
-Silic: 1%
-Nitrogen: 0.25%
-Carbon: 0.25%

Properties of stainless steel 201

Chemical composition of stainless steel 201 helps reduce weight compared to stainless steel 304. However, due to low density of Chrome and Nickel than Series 300, stainless steel 201 is less corrosion resistant than stainless steel 304.
